David Work - Chairman of the Board
David Work retired from BP as a Regional President in 2000. At BP, he coordinated activities with seven E&P business units. Mr. Work's prior experiences include: BP Amoco Group Vice-President of E&P in London; BP Amoco Executive Committee member; Amoco's SVP of Shared Services; Amoco Group VP of worldwide exploration for Amoco; President of Amoco Egypt; Vice President of Amoco's Houston region and Vice President of Exploration for Africa and the Middle East Region. David Work started his career in 1970 as a geologist working in exploration in Western U.S. and Alaska for Amoco. He has a M.S. from the University of California, and a B.A. from Wesleyan. Mr. Work serves on various boards and remains actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute and the Geological Society of America.
Donald Carlton, Ph. D.
Dr. Carlton served as the President and Chairman of Radian Corporation, an engineering and technology firm that he co-founded, from 1969 through 1995. In January 1996 he was named CEO of Radian International LLC, a new company formed in partnership with Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company and The Dow Chemical Company. Dr. Carlton retired as CEO on December 31, 1998. Dr. Carlton serves on several corporate boards, include: American Electric Power Company and National Instruments. He was named to the Hall of Honor of the University of Texas College of Natural Sciences in 1992. Dr. Carlton earned a B.A degree from the University of Saint Thomas in 1958 and a PhD. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 1962.
Eric Klasson
Eric Klasson is the President & CEO of CrystaTech. He is responsible for business development, new product development, equity and debt financings, corporate partnerships and directing the company's financial growth and success. Eric has over twenty years working for Fortune 500 companies in senior finance, business development and executive positions, including, CFO, COO, President and CEO. Eric began his career in the Business Workout practice of Price Waterhouse in Houston, working on turnarounds for energy companies and financial institutions. Eric's technical expertise includes the mergers and acquisitions and business development functions. He has completed two IPO's and directed several business startups while at PepsiCo, FoxMeyer and the Albert Fisher Group. Eric holds an MBA from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Kent Perry
Kent Perry is Director, Exploration & Production Research at the Gas Technology Institute in Des Plaines , Illinois . At GTI, he has responsibility for planning and managing a research program which has the overall objective of developing new technology for enhanced recovery of natural gas in the lower 48 United States . Past experience includes thirty years of natural gas engineering and gas production responsibilities including; gas storage engineering for Northern Illinois Gas Co ., production engineering with Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Co ., and, exploration and production for Michigan Energy Resources Co . He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a past SPE Distinguished Lecturer. He has participated in National Petroleum Council studies on the potential for natural gas in the United States and has authored several papers on low permeability natural gas resources and hydraulic fracturing.
Quinton Ford
Quinton Ford leads commercialization activities for the Gas Technology Institute. His responsibilities include developing pathways to market, and optimizing the impact and value of the technologies developed by GTI. Prior to his current role, Quinton spent the majority of his twenty year career within the manufacturing sector. He headed a business that manufactured engineered components for OEMs in power-related applications at Senior PLC, a publicly-traded U.K. based company. At Nanophase Technologies, Quinton led commercialization of the company’s advanced materials in a wide variety of applications, contributing to Nanophase becoming the first publicly-traded nanomaterials company. He also held various engineering, technical sales, and marketing management responsibilities at Graco Incorporated. Quinton earned a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He serves on the board of directors of Mosaic Energy, LLC.
