CrystaTech / GTC Alliance Press Release
CrystaTech announces International Technology Development and Marketing Alliance with GTC Technology
Austin, TX, January 14, 2009 – CrystaTech announced today that it has executed a multi-year agreement with GTC Technology Inc. (“GTC”) for the development and deployment of advanced eco-friendly energy technologies in China, Russia and India.
Under the terms of the agreement, CrystaTech and GTC will cooperate in the development and deployment of a Mobile Sulfur Recovery Unit (“Mobile SRU”). The volumetric flow of sour gas wells can be safely tested using this breakthrough Mobile SRU process technology. The Mobile SRU Unit can be integrated with CrystaSulf, the company’s hydrogen sulfide removal product, thus further expanding the market reach of that product.
The agreement further provides for the deployment of CrystaTech’s suite of sour gas processing treating technologies in China, Russia and India by GTC.
“The GTC alliance will allow CrystaTech to enter into the Asian energy sector with the leadership, technology transfer experience and engineering capability of GTC. The Asian market represents a significant opportunity for the development and deployment of eco-friendly energy technologies. GTC’s experience with major Asian energy companies will allow for secure technology transfer of CrystaTech’s products in the sour gas processing sector,” said Eric Klasson, President and CEO of CrystaTech.
“GTC chose to collaborate with CrystaTech because of their unique technology portfolio. This partnership will provide GTC with an expanded offering for sulfur removal in gas streams. By working with CrystaTech we will be able to deliver greater value to existing clients and offer the latest cutting edge eco-friendly technology. We look forward to a successful partnership,” said Pinti Wang, President and CEO of GTC Technology.
